Our Focus
The Peoples Foundation for Humanity Development is dedicated to training and empowering women and educating vulnerable children in Sierra Leone. Our Gender Program empowers women and girls through business skills and financial literacy training. We have also built Destiny Christian Academy, an elementary school, and an Out-of-School Dropout program, serving previously unschooled villages. Destiny Christian Academy
Destiny Christian Academy (DCA) was established in response to the dire circumstances faced by communities in Moselolo, a district in the Southern portion of Sierra Leone. Despite being one of the poorest countries globally, with staggering illiteracy and infant mortality rates, Moselolo stood out as an area particularly isolated and underserved, comprised of nine villages inaccessible by road. Witnessing the profound need during a visit, the decision to act was immediate. The construction of the first elementary school was completed, providing hope and opportunity to approximately 600 children who previously had no access to education.
Today, Destiny Christian Academy continues to serve these communities, offering not just education but also an Out-of-School Dropout Programme (DREP) that provides remedial education and skills training for teens. Through the support of compassionate individuals and short-term missions, we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need. Gender Empowerment
Women in Ministry International (WIMI), affectionately known as Why Me offers support, encouragement, and empowerment as you step into your purpose and thrive wherever you're planted. Through our training program, we prioritize nurturing your personal relationship with God, providing guidance on spiritual growth, devotion, and prayer. Our aim is to equip you for effective ministry through mentorship, spiritual gifts assessment, and comprehensive training, culminating in a certificate of completion. Additionally, we offer ongoing support, monthly empowerment meetings, and access to resources to help you flourish in your area of gifting. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to work together in pursuing God's calling on your life.
